Anna Firlus – performs both as a soloist and chamber music collaborator with other artists, playing both the organ and the harpsichord, her repertoire spanning from the renaissance to the contemporary. She is a member of the {oh!} Orkiestra and co-founder of the Extempore Ensemble, performing 17th- and 18th-century music, as well as co-founder of the Ensemble Chimérique. Moreover, she collaborates with numerous early music ensembles, such as the Capella Cracoviensis, the Musaicum, the Polish Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, the Capella 1547 and the Flori Pari. She performs at multiple festivals at home and abroad, including Mixtur im Bass, Großräschener Orgelkonzerte, Letni slavnosti stare hudby in Prague, Brühler Schlosskonzerte, International Bach Festival in Świdnica, All’improvviso, Musica Poetica in Tarnów, Muzyka na Szczytach in Zakopane and Gaude Mater International Sacred Music Festival.
Anna Firlus graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where she studied organ with prof. J. Gembalski and harpsichord with prof. M. Toporowski. She participated in numerous organ, harpsichord and chamber music interpretation courses, taught by distinguished professors, such as Jean-Luc Perrot, Christoph Bossert, Christoph Grohmann, Bernhard Hass, Maija Lehtonen, Ludger Lohmann, Anthony Spiri, Aline Zylberajch, Władysław Kłosiewicz, Leszek Kędracki and Rachel Podger.
Anna Firlus teaches historically informed performance at the Academy of Music in Katowice.
