Marcin Kydrynski presents SIESTA on the road: SAMARA JOY - NOSPR

This is the most brilliant career in jazz vocals since Nora Jones. If you're 20 years old and your first record, Samara Joy, earns you two of the top Grammy Awards (Best Vocal Album and Best New Artist), what can happen next? When a 20-year-old wins first the Ellington Festival and then the Sara Vaughan International Singing Competition, director Regina King pronounces: "In this girl Sarah and Ella Fitzgerald live simultaneously”. Samara has a unique voice, a unique timbre. The world of jazz Samara listens sympathetically as she appears successively: on Broadway, in Carnegie Hall, in Jazz at Lincoln Center - the temples of music.
